Less expensive than our higher capacity launchers, the Model 2 Soap Stick Launcher is an automated version of the common two-valve soapstick lubricator. The Midnight Launcher increases gas well production through automatic application of soap sticks (surfactants) into the well bore.

By utilizing the programmable Midnight Soap Stick Launcher, surfactants can be dropped automatically. Introducing soap sticks at the optimum point in the flow regime can dramatically improve the performance of a well’s production rate plus reduce the man-hours required to service the well.

In use, the operator loads and drops 2 sticks manually and then reloads the M-2 for later auto-launch. Dial over to the 96 hours setting if flow from the location can be sustained by just 4 soapsticks per week.

Alternatively, launch, load and set the dial to 24 hours. That way, the well receives soapsticks almost every day and the operator reloads on Monday, Wednesday and Friday only.  

Turning the dial to 12 hours after a reload will deploy the charge in the middle of the night for a total of 4 sticks per day for every day that the well is visited.

  • The M-2 is solar powered and doesn’t require supply gas;

  • Suitable for low pressure gathering systems;

  • The M-2H is rated to 5K for high pressure wellheads;

  • The M-2 can be used with flow line pressure as high as 850 psi;

  • Available for 2″ NPT, 2-3/8″, or 2-7/8″ wellheads. We also offer low profile adapters for 3-1/2”-8rnd and 4-1/2”-8 rnd;

  • Using the 1-5/8” diameter soapstick in the M-2 is the equivalent of 3 standard soapstick;

  • Telemetry: A soap stick can be dropped based on an RTU command. This feature is especially helpful on high flow rate locations;

  • The M-2 can be connected to an ABV via the Control Module to stop-cock the flow from the well.
